We’d like to announce the addition of our newest Satin Stitches team member: Emily Kallis! We have known Emily for several years, and now she has graciously accepted a position with our Marketing and Customer Service team. Emily’s background includes extensive marketing and customer service experience, along with 10 years of studio dance, and a season dancing with the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves. Additionally, Emily has represented her community in the Miss Minnesota pageant.

Emily is a self-professed lover of rhinestones, and is thrilled to be working with teams and individuals on behalf of Satin Stitches!


With so many of our past and current clients working to perfect their ideas for the upcoming performance season, now is the busiest time of our year! Because designing, ordering and planning out the perfect costume can be daunting, we want to help you!

Haley, our Sketch/Designer will create drawings based on your ideas, and then, once you have decided on exactly what you would like to order, she will create patterns to make your ideas come to life. We then create your prototype for you to critique, before we put your order into production. You and your team have input during the entire creative process, until you receive your fabulous custom performance costumes that are indeed, ‘Designed for a Sensational Performance!’

HOT Costume Care 'TIP OF THE MONTH'!
  • Know when you need delivery. (Check our Satin Stitches’ Guaranteed Delivery Schedule for specifics)
  • Know your secondary choice for delivery dates.
  • Plan enough time for the design/sketching process (we promise to send a sketch and pricing information within 5 business days of receiving all of your information regarding what you are looking for).
  • Know how long it takes to procure an Official Purchase Order, Organizational Check or permission to use the 'company credit card'.
  • Do not assume 'someone' is mailing your check and/or paperwork to us. Always double check to make sure it gets done when you think it is getting done.
  • Do not count on snail mail. If needed, overnight a deposit check (with tracking) which could save you up to one week! When one week could be critical to your team, this could spare you from a huge headache.
  • Realize that with Satin Stitches, you DO NOT NEED SIZES to place your order, just the NUMBER of garments you are ordering.
  • We answer our phone calls and emails all during our 'regular' shop hours of 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (Central Time Zone) Monday-Friday.
  • If you are within driving distance, we highly recommend booking a design appointment with our professional performance costume designers and, when possible, we even accept evening or Saturday morning appointments to accommodate your busy schedule!
