Over the years, I have spent many hours at Totino-Grace High School, both for Satin Stitches’ projects and for personal endeavors. Totino was in my kids’ High School conference so I have attended many, many basketball and football games, along with other activities. It is a very familiar campus.Read More

At Satin Stitches, we LOVE getting our creative juices flowing with ‘our’ talented high school show choirs. High school show choirs have moved past what the television show ‘Glee’ presented. Currently, the most competitive show choirs have a varsity group of equal numbers of boys and girls (ranging from 20-30 of each) and then a ‘starter’ or JV group of maybe 50-65 girls.Read More

With Satin Stitches, I have made many dear friends over the years, and none as dear as Pam and Joe Krzyzaniak (who were my very first Satin Stitches’ ballroom clients, dating back to 1979 when Pam found me, and my Satin Stitches designs) at a Richfield Square Dance/Polka costume shop, near their home. Satin Stitches created these jumpsuits for Lincoln HS back in the 2006-2007 dance season. They featured long, black velvet legs. This season, the team cut the legs to create a more contemporary looking biketard. We LOVE for our costumes to get a second life – especially ones that we LOVED, years ago.Read More
At Satin Stitches we create. We create custom-designed performance costumes of all types, for all sizes and shapes. Our show choir clients use us as a resource for very unique, themed costuming, whether historical, futuristic or fantastical, for both their girls and their boys.
Additionally, we offer less expensive customizable styles that are more traditional. We are currently designing new styles for inclusion into our Web Store. Right now, we offer basic dance pieces, such as leotards, pants, shorts, skirt and some dresses. In a few months, we will have additional basics and some unique costume options added.
